ZOLL Products Ready for Their Close-ups

R Series TV Set

April 29, 2013 - When Dr. Alex Reid reaches for an AED or defibrillator at Hope Zion Hospital, it’s a ZOLL. Dr. Reid is one of the main characters in the Toronto-based medical drama Saving Hope, and ZOLL products are on the set of the show. If you tune in, you could spot the R Series® Monitor/Defibrillator on the crash cart or an AED Plus® hanging on the wall in a hallway or room—or possibly an E Series® Monitor/Defibrillator as an EMS team is wheeling a patient into the Emergency Department.

If you’re a fan of Rookie Blue, another Toronto-based show, you might see the E Series in another cameo role. This popular TV show revolves around the lives of five rookie police officers.

Rookie Blue, which premiered in June 2010 in the U.S. and Canada, will begin its fourth season in May. Season two of Saving Hope will air this summer in Canada, but it is not yet clear whether the new season will be shown in the U.S. on NBC. The production company that is responsible for both shows reached out to ZOLL Canada when selecting medical equipment.
